Lentigen Corporation went into an exclusive, worldwide licensing agreement with the University of Pennsylvania , relating to lentiviral vector technology.

Lentiviral vectors ( LV ) are vehicles that can deliver genes or RNAi into cells with up to 100% efficiency and stability that has not been achieved by other viral vector systems such as non-viral, adenoviral and adeno-associated viral vectors.

The technology’s intellectual property was developed at Penn's School of Medicine but has been granted to Lentigen for development and commercialization of products both for research reagents (for laboratory purposes) and for potential therapeutic purposes.

Financial terms of agreement were not disclosed.
